Jennifer Vasquez, PhD, LCSW-S, is an educator, researcher, and clinician specializing in trauma. She serves as Assistant Professor at the Texas State University School of Social Work and Clinical Director of Inspired Practice LLC, bringing over 20 years of clinical experience in trauma, addiction, and healthcare.

Dr. Vasquez sits on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Social Workers–Texas Chapter and serves as Mental Health Delegate to the NASW Delegate Assembly, which is responsible for shaping the association’s policy agenda and the development of Social Work Speaks, a publication of NASW’s official policy statements.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Approved Supervisor, Dr. Vasquez holds advanced certifications in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SEP), NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), Integral Somatic Psychology (ISP), and yoga therapy (IAYT-C, RYT-500). Her work bridges neuroscience, somatics, and trauma-informed care to support recovery, resilience, and professional sustainability in clinical social work.

She is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR), Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute (SETI), EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), U.S. Association for Body Psychotherapy (USABP), Society for Psychotherapy Research, Clinical Social Work Association, Texas Society for Clinical Social Work, Yoga Alliance, and the National Society for Leadership and Success.
