Dr. Amy D. Benton, is a Professor of Social Work at Texas State University. She received a Ph.D. in Social Welfare from University of California, Berkeley, and a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to getting her doctorate, Dr. Benton worked for 10 years in the non-profit sector. Her primary areas of interest are management and administration of human service agencies, worker support, development and retention, and policy.
